Hi, I am Heather and John's cat Mortiki, they call me Mort for short.  I was living outside and raccoons killed my brothers and sisters and hurt one of  my mother's eyes.  I was rescued and brought to Kats-n-Kittens and Heather and John nursed me back to health and kept me.  My mother was spayed and taken to a farm where she could live outside and be safe.  She did not like people and did not want to be a house cat.
